David has enjoyed a successful entrepreneurial and C-Suite leadership career within the Building and Built Environment technology sectors. With significant strategic experience globally, taking large projects from idea construction to completed delivery. Establishing best practice, and good governance, to maintain and support stake holder interests and compliance. David has taken leading roles in several successful exits from his previous ventures. David also brings strong, and respected, relationships with key target funders, clients, and markets.

John Corbett

Group Developments Director

John is a professionally qualified, results-driven Development Director having vast experience with leading large multi-national and multi-disciplinary Project Management teams on many high value projects in the United Kingdom, Gibraltar, Grenada, Dubai, Qatar and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. John was trained as a Civil Engineer and his wider experience encompasses Business Governance and Management, Property Development, Design, Procurement, and Construction Management.

Jason Monk

Group Operations and Commercial & Contracts Director

Jason is an experienced business and construction commercial executive. He has worked for some of the UK’s leading construction businesses, including Lend Lease and ISg. His project portfolio includes commercial and residential/housing projects. Jason held the position of Divisional Commercial Director of ISg Construction, one of the UK’s largest construction companies. He has vast experience in corporate governance, and the planning, pricing, tendering, negotiating, procurement, and valuation processes, as well as claims and dispute resolution.​

Geoffrey Moorby

Group Engineering Director

Geoff has worked in the AEC industry for over 40 years. He has worked for many high-profile organisations, including Mapeley Estates, British Airports Authority, Mott MacDonald, and Lend Lease, occupying key roles. He led the national project management team on the £2.2 billion rollout of Job Centre Plus across the UK. He was also the programme manager for Mapeley Estates on the STEPS (HMRC) contract.​

Terence Aston

Group Chief Executive Officer

Terence has worked at the highest level in the built environment industry for over 35 years, including funders, developers, building owners, and constructors, both in the UK and Overseas. He founded and has owned Topic Plan for over 22 years and has seven multibillion-pound projects under his belt. His wide breadth of experience and knowledge encompasses corporate operations, administration, governance and commercial management and project delivery. He has extensive knowledge in property development, property technology (prop-tech), construction, modern methods of construction (MMC), volumetric modular, engineering, sustainability, and low-carbon solutions.​

Sea Containers House

Sea Containers House is a 224,000sq ft office and leisure building in London SE1. The 5 Star Hotel, Mondrian London at Sea Containers, opened in September 2014. The hotel has a rooftop bar in a glass box structure with an outdoor terrace, featuring panoramic views over London. The interiors in 2014 were designed by the esteemed British designer Tom Dixon, capturing and enhancing the essence of the original building while evoking the glamour of 1920s cruise ships.

14 Westfield Avenue

The building is served by generous entrance foyers, which are surrounded by an enhanced public realm. Each is crowned with screened roof gardens that enjoy outstanding views to the Queen Elisabeth Olympic Park and the London skyline beyond. The project reached practical completion in April 2020 and is to become the new East London home of HM Revenue & Customs. It provides 240,000 sq ft of high-quality office accommodation over 13 storeys, incorporating Government Hubs, WEL Standards, and a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating.

Burntwood School

The transformation of Burntwood School pieces together a 1950s modernist education campus for 2000 pupils and 200 staff in south-west London. Within an existing mature landscape, six new buildings-as-pavilions develop the heritage of the existing property, orchestrating a system of bespoke constructional components to deliver both efficiency and delight.

Bunhill heating & Power Network

Islington Council’s Bunhill Heat and Power Network (BHPN) is the first scheme in the world to take waste heat from an underground train network and use it to provide lower-cost, greener heat to local homes, a school and leisure centres.

This project plays an essential role in Islington’s commitment to reducing carbon emissions, helping lower heating bills, improving air quality and making the capital more self-sufficient in energy. Indeed, it forms an important part of the Mayor of London’s approach to decarbonising heat in London and helping London to become net-zero carbon.

LBQ - The Place

Designed by renowned architect Renzo Piano, The Place is an innovative steel-framed London headquarters building which will provide 40,000 square meters of efficient office space within a 17-storey structure. The building has plant levels on floors 18 and 19. It forms part of the development known as the London Bridge Quarter (LBQ), which also incorporates ‘The Shard’.

The Crystal Siemens Urban Sustainability Centre

The building is a showcase for sustainable and energy-efficient design and construction, maximising the use of natural daylight and incorporating high-performance glazing, photovoltaic panels, energy-efficient lighting and metering. Further, rainwater harvesting, water-efficient appliances, ground-source heat pumps, and solar water heating are all integral to the design.

LBQ The Shard

Designed by renowned architect Renzo Piano, The Shard is a 306-meter-tall, 54,488-square-meter vertical city development. It is the tallest building in Western Europe. The development comprises a mixed-use scheme including Offices, Restaurants, a Hotel, a Spa, Luxury Apartments, Viewing Galleries, and a Spire.

Olympic (Off Park Venues) Overlay

Following the completion of the Velodrome, Topic Plan were appointed to provide project management services for the installation of the sports and media overlay at the ‘Off Park’ venues, including Wembley National Stadium, Lord’s Cricket Ground, The Lawn Tennis Association’s Grounds (Wimbledon) and the O2, etc. Further, we provided support throughout the 2012 London Olympic Games.

Olympic Velodrome

The Olympic Velodrome was the last permanent Olympic Park venue commissioned, the first to be completed, and the only one to be under budget.

Westfield London is Europe’s largest inner city shopping centre, providing a luxury retail experience under a 43-acre undulating ‘rolling’ glass roof, which includes a football pitch-sized atrium. The internal mall is fully air-conditioned, and a fibre-optic communications network integrates the intelligent systems.

Albion Riverside is an award-winning landmark prime residential development designed by the venerable architects Foster and Partners for Hutchison Whampoa.

The Royal Festival Hall is a Grade II-listed,  world-class concert venue in London.

The Royal Opera House 'Open up'

The Royal Opera House provides over 750,000 Sq. ft of mixed-use space in the heart of Covent Garden and has undergone a significant reconstruction to enable greater public access to the building and improved facilities. Topic Plan has delivered many projects for The Royal Opera House, including the conceptualisation and project management of an extensive energy-reduction project resulting in annual savings of over 15%.
